SUI Joins ‘Moments of Hope’ to Serve Local Community Needs

Giving Back

When SUI team members joined together for an end of summer office cookout, they decided they wanted their celebration to be more than just tasty treats and fellowship. They wanted to help their neighbors in need.

SUI gathered and donated items to Moments of Hope Outreach, also known as Mo-Hope. This organization serves several cities in the Richmond, Virginia area, providing services such as emergency shelter, food, and clothing.

“It is in the same county where our office is located, so we had an opportunity to help an organization in our own backyard,” said Cathy Carter, SVP of Sales at SUI. “I have seen the good work they do in the community and felt it would be a good way for SUI to give back.”

Moments of Hope requested toiletry items, so that is exactly what the team brought. From hygiene products to toothbrushes and soap, the team collected enough items to overload a table in the office.

“It was such a great feeling to see our team members support a cause to help those in our community going through a hard time,” Cathy added. “The whole team rallied around us getting together to enhance our bond as a team, yet also helping out those in need.”
